Nepali Communist: Defaming and Denying Marx | Kushal Duwadi

Kushal Duwadi

Marx combines mainly three terms economy, society, and politics and made the term Marxism. Within the birth of Marxism in 170 years, it had been practiced in 2/3rd world territory and enjoyed for once. Looking at the Nepali Communists or so-called communists, they state that they are the true follower of Marx but there comes a big question mark when they said like that.

Looking around the history of the first communist party of Nepal it was established for the first time in India in 2006 Bhadra 30 for the movements against Rana Regime and the General Secretary at that time was Pushpa Lal Shrestha. At the present time, there are only four major communist parties in Nepal which were engaged in the different forms of Government but there are also minor parties and defunct parties too.

Nepali communists claimed themselves to be rooted in Marxism. Saying and doing are different things. Claim thought wouldn’t be demonstrated until you’ll be able to appear a genuine illustration of it. That’s what the condition of Nepali Communist is.

Communism state that it is a system of social organization in which all the property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs. It is clear that communist shouldn’t keep their property within themselves at the time of revolution or at any other time. They must be able to donate it for the welfare of the people and for the country. It is not a condition of Nepali communists, they aren’t giving property rather than they are in the mindset of how to increase our own property.

Not only that, but they are also making houses within the Kathmandu and stating they are communists. Many of the communists are wearing Armani and have a Pajero, they have a luxurious life So from this explanation, able to state that they aren’t the genuine communist.

Marx didn’t work for himself he works for the people. Nepali communists are so profoundly graved in nepotism that every high official post is acquired by their relatives and favorite ones. What to anticipate from this kind of communist?

Marx strongly wants to remove capitalism from the country. Marx used to say that Capitalism cannot solve the problem of people. He believed that profit should be shared among the worker (proletariat) not among the aristocracy only. Marx believed that Capitalism will end one day when there will be a high level of capitalism and brutality from it. For that, there will be a revolt from the workers or people and that will lead towards socialism and similar socialism will convert into communism. Looking at the Nepali Communists they are being adapted themselves within Capitalism.

Even the communists from Nepal from time to time have done the revolution in the name of socialism but they aren’t on the path of socialism. There are different types of capitalism but the Nepali Communists are mostly linked with the two types of capitalism. They are Crony Capitalism (where people make money through business, thanks to their political connections) and Stony Capitalism (money is god and individuals get priority over systems). They are being followed by this type of capitalism.

Though there is the government of Nepal Communist Party they aren’t being able to create the balance between the working class and upper class. As the Land Reform Act Bill hasn’t been passed for 6 years from the House of Representatives which can lead Nepal into the path of socialism.

Even the government of communists has been made in this present time but they aren’t playing any role to pass that bill also. The upper class is being rich day by day and the working-class is being poor day by day also. In this critical situation of the pandemic, our government which is of communist fail to show that they are for working-class people.

Greater shopping centers were revived inside the 1 week of lockdown but the government fails to make a arrange for the opening little stores.

Nepali Communists are utilizing the ideology of Marx for their benefit only. They are using Marx as a vote bank. Acknowledging and implementing Marx’s idea in daily life is distinctive from showing his photo in a party banner only. Marxism and CPN UML principle ‘Multiparty Democracy’ present by our late courageous leader Madan Bhandari is the diverse things they are rather like the inverse poles of the magnet which cannot be never meet but Nepali Communists are expressing that they do in bolster of Multiparty Democracy conjointly within the bolster of the Marxism how can that thing be conceivable?

Multiparty democracy state that anything the parliamentary system of capitalism needs playing that kind of required part competing with each other living inside that system. So the standards of Marxism and CPN UML (now Nepal Communist Party) are totally distinctive. Another main important thing is that Marx never states that there should be a government it will create division among the people again which will lead towards the differences among the people here in the world. Within the passage of time, one group will be in power and again one group will face the difficulties and the problem all the time but the leaders of the Communist party want to gain the power and want to rule the country so this thing is also opposite.

The first communist party was established to expel the Rana regime but the present communist party gives resemblance to establishing a new regime of their own. Nepali communists are just only the communists of their word not by their behavior or by their ideas in today’s context. Marx’s idea and their idea are being completely different. The idea of Marx is mostly idealistic. At one time, communism had been practiced in more than 2/3rd world country but there is less number of country in today world.

So, Nepali communists must be able to get it why and how the communist ideology had been fizzled so that it’ll moreover offer assistance for the country’s advancement and for their presence as well instead of defaming and denying Marx’s idea.
