Self-Quarantine Experience |Chirag Majithia #1

Self-Quarantine Experience By Chirag Majithia
For a lot of people, especially the teens and college students, being able live at home and going no where was just a dream. And you know how people say ‘Be careful what you wish for’? It seems that someone’s wish really came true with unexpected results.

Quarantine seems to be boring for many and a dream come true with a little bit of a twist for an even bigger number. I guess, the same can also be said for me. However there seems to be one thing that most people have finally been able to do; take a step back and enjoy the beauty of nature.

For me, like many others, self quarantine was, and is, a challenge. With hardly anything to do, I often get bored and have nothing else to do but reread a novel from my book shelf. However if I am to say one thing that kept me sane, it was taking a few minutes and just looking at the sky for a while.

While most people would be too busy to do it, self quarantine has proven to be just the thing needed. And, if I am to say it honestly, maybe this is what was necessary for the planet. A quick glance during any time of the day at the sky is enough to make one realize just how clear it looks compared to before.

A few minutes out the window will show just how peaceful the city has become, and one deep breath will prove just how cleaner the world in its entirety has become. Now more than ever, I think that people are finally taking a little notice of the world around them and are learning to enjoy it a bit more.

This drastic measure of forcing people to live at their houses made me realize just how wonderful nature can be and now, even after this quarantine ends, maybe people will learn to enjoy themselves more but at the same time hope that they won’t have to face this dream come true turned punishment ever again.

This experience may have been quite a boring one with not much to do, but during this time, as someone with hardly any free time because of college and work, I felt like taking a step back and appreciating nature more, was just what I and the world needed.
