Irony of Life | Poem by Ayush Karki

Rahul Pokhrel

How those who cry and mourn over the past,
Can you see what lays beyond horizon and vast?
How those who chose doubt over the decision,
May not be thrown with shackles in prison?
How can success come flying to you?
When not even you believe in what you do.
How can the moon shine clear at night?
When your own mind is clouded with fright.
How those who run from the dead-end,
Ever learn to make their own path?
How can you ask for eternity to spend?
When you don’t value the time you got.
How can you expect ripe fruit on hand?
When you left your plant to die in the sand.
How can you dream to touch the sky?
When you abandon the dream to stand.
