The Magic Of Seven | Sudip Simkhada

Science is not a joke, it deals with facts and reality. Optics is one branch of science/physics which deals with light. Light has seven colors which are proven by a prism.

As light passes through a prism, it is bent, or refracted, by the angles and plane faces of the prism, and each wavelength of light is refracted by a slightly different amount… As a result, all of the colors in the white light of the sun separate into the individual bands of color characteristic of a rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet are the color of them [light, rainbow].

Rainbows are formed when light from the sun is scattered by water droplets (e.g. raindrops or fog) through a process called refraction. Refraction occurs when the light from the sun changes direction when passing through a medium denser than air, such as a raindrop.

Not only that while talking about Nepalese festivals seven colors are used to put tika on Bhai tika having white color as the base. It is a belief that this festival shows the strong relationship between brother and sister. Sisters do all the activities for the happy and long life of their brothers. Hindu saptahapuran also consists of seven days. The kisti [vessel used for puja] also consists of seven parts.

The music from ancient times to now adjusts in just seven cords. There are seven days in a week, starting from Sunday to Saturday. There are seven wonders in this world.

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World (from left to right, top to bottom): Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus (also known as the Mausoleum of Mausolus), Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria as depicted.

Seven continents make the world. The names of the seven continents of the world are Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, North America, South America, and Antarctica. All the continents of the world start and end with the same alphabet if you consider North and South Americas as one continent.

Seven beautiful letters make “friends”. So keep your friendship strong.

From all, it is found that without seven none of the things is completed. Even marriage life is incomplete without seven-generation and seven circles are also known as ‘saat fere’.
