A life passed | Parvez Ayub | Offline Thinker

A life passed, The months and years fall, Thy memories hit me hard, A life I awaited for thee.
A life passed,
The months and years fall,
Thy memories hit me hard,
A life I awaited for thee.
Sitting on thy pathways,
Waiting like a wingless bird,
Having nowhere to fly,
Still waiting in frozen dawns,
Still frozen in snowy dusks,
For me, no nightingale ever sings,
No, glowworm to shed a light in gloomy nights,
For me the dew-drops are dusty,
Where the eyes stare,
No sign of thou anywhere,
Dreams are like day’s nightmares,
My fate has fallen into quicksand,
Yet, not dis-hearten yet, not heavy-hearted.
Still, hopeful thou comes one day.
