When traveling, we appear to pack plenty of stuff. We think it would all be essential and we kind of carry a mini house for a few days to go on a trip.

The article will offer you packing tips when you’re on a trekking journey.

PACK LIGHT is the only Trekking code. The lighter your pack, the more it will be in your favor. You will be able to walk with a light bag on your shoulders and probably won’t abandon a trip in the middle. So checking at some tricks on traveling light will help you while on a trekking trip, especially if you’re the kind that packs almost everything anywhere you go.

  • You can take two pairs of trousers and five shirts on a week-long trekking trip. If you have those Dri-Fit T-shirts which will keep you dry from all the sweats, it’ll be really convenient. And if you wash them, these sorts will dry much faster.
  • Keep a pair of nightwear as you certainly don’t want to sleep in dirty clothes.
  • Since you don’t want to walk around with smelly feet, pack as many socks as according to your travel days.
  • Bring undergarments as of your ease, as that is the only part I likely won’t suggest.
  • All the basics of everyday life such as lotion, toothpaste, sunscreen, shampoo, etc., must be segmented and carried amongst friends.
  • One of the main things to never miss is multi-plug. Apparently a lot of electronics will be there to recharge while traveling in a group and you’ll be out of the port. So this issue can be addressed by having a multi-plug.
  • Keep a small pouch of medicines which must include paracetamol, diarrhea and vomit medication, bandaid and bandage, Vicks, oxygen tablet, and other medicines needed. To keep the oxygen intake at high altitudes, use an oxygen tablet, only if extremely necessary.
  • Bring enough toilet paper and wet wipes individually as you don’t want to use ice-cold water early in the morning. Don’t forget a hand towel, too.
  • Bring a bottle of water and refill it whenever you have a chance. Bring aqua tabs and use them to stop getting sick from waterborne illness any time you refill the water. To keep your energy level up you’ll need plenty of fluids.
  • Take extra slipper, as each time you go to the bathroom or hang around the hotel you don’t want to put on the shoes.
  • Most importantly, bring a light jacket, ideally wind and waterproof, beanie, gloves, and a neck warmer.
  • Carrying trekking poles is a must, as it gives you support and grip whilst you walk.
  • Additionally, bring energy bars and sugary food that will give you energy because trust me, when walking and carrying all this stuff at the same time, you will want all the energy in the world.

The best advice on traveling light is to not take a bag, but this is definitely not feasible.

I recall one time I unintentionally packed two umbrellas and a pack of cotton balls on a college trip. I still haven’t figured out how my bag got those items in. Why would I pack up cotton balls and umbrellas on a tour to Pokhara? This is yet an unsettling mystery. Hahahaha!!

So, holding very limited and extremely important items will thus ease your burden on trekking.
