You who made me who I am | Shreeansha Bhattarai

I was five when I first made my very first father’s day card. The school teacher had left the room after distributing some supplies, a piece of paper, and scribbling ‘fathers day special’ on the board. My mind shut; I started taking heavy breaths because I did not know what I could do since it would not be enough to express my gratitude.

For as long as I can remember, you have been drowning in work, looking for ways to provide the very best for your family. Despite not having a single minute to take a long breath, you have not missed a single event of my life since my childhood. Even if it is a small performance at the school assembly or a grand recital with more than a thousand guests; your smiling self would always be in the front row with the camera

As you are the pillar of the family, you make sure you do not falter. As a person who encounters stress and challenges every step of the way, you do not take it out on any of us. We would understand if you complained or threw tantrums. Instead, you meet and greet everyone with your legendary smile. Thus, Kudos to you Baba.

I know I do not express much. I do not show you the love you deserve. However, I observe. I see you being amazing. It influences me to be amazing. Not just me, you inspire everyone around you to be amazing. Thank you for being my father. Thank you for being an amazing husband. And lastly, thank you for all the teachings. I will cherish them for life.
