Introvert | Poem by Ayush Karki

I’ve been staring wall for months now but I don’t see any eyes
The things that I don’t even care about strikes me back and twice
I feel paralyzed I do nothing but stare
I’m in an abyss full of thoughts but I’m much comfy in here

Nothing’s wrong with me I said a thousand times
I love being in a dark room with no voices to hear
Call me boring, introvert, unsocial, freakshow and such
But I feel pity for you, unable to tolerate a minute with no one to talk

Party, nights out, picnic; isolation is what I choose
You think humans can’t live without a companion? stand in my shoes
Depression, anxiety, mental issues; solitary is the word I choose
Don’t ask me if I ever get bored, when I do, I let my deep thoughts go loose.
