Lonely highway of Sindhuli | Bibek Chimarya

Bibek Chimarya

A man in his late twenties is driving through the lonely highway of Sindhuli. The night is terrible with lighting and heavy rainfall. He seems a bit tense as the fuel is running down and the nearest hotel is still a long way down the road. Moreover, the brakes of his motorbike don’t seem to work efficiently.

Suddenly, he sees a mysterious lady standing in the middle of the road. The man stops the motorbike in a panic. The girl is wearing a plain white dress. She has no umbrella in this heavy rainfall and she isn’t a bit wet. The girl walks towards the man and asks “Will you give me a ride?”

His blood ran cold and he didn’t utter a word. He shook his head like a leaf exposed to wind. However, the girl sits on a bike and forces the man to give her a ride. The man starts driving as he had no courage to resist her.

As they drive along the highway, the man asks the girl “Where do you want to go”?

“Take me where you want me to go.” replied the girl in a seductive tone. After a while, the man again asks the girls “Where are you coming from?”

“From the graveyard” replied the girl faking. The man breaks into dead silence after hearing her say that.

Meanwhile, the girl takes out her phone and starts using Facebook. As she scrolled down the newsfeed, she came across a post from an online news portal that described the death of 28-year-old Ramesh in a road accident this evening in a Sindhuli highway.

Chills ran down the girl’s spine as she read the full article. She starts sweating and her stomach tightens up. “What is your name”? asks the girl.
“RAMESH” the man replied.
