Awareness of the Suffering of Animals | Tali Cohen Shabtai

Tali Cohen Shabtai

Since when is a two-wheeled vehicle, with spoked wheels
shaped like a torus that tightens
for riding
a flesh-and-blood beast with mobility that would sufficiently satisfy
a man’s need

Who determined that a horse is an animal for riding
for the purpose of the human race
that can be moved by hand control
murdering the burden
on their spindly legs that end with one toe
placed on the sole of the
carelessly worn-out hoof

I have always felt that a horse has sad eyes. They
are considered social animals, and an animal surrounded by far more than the rest in the company of creatures who pay the bill to get on the chariot attached
by a murderous bridle to the horse
in order to experience a tour of a chic boulevard
in a foreign country.

How they pull a wheeled carriage for a passing chariot that contains the British monarchy through a projector in the 21st century
as long as Queen Elizabeth’s attire knows
nothing about the slime that the horse
carrying them with
hoof claps in a procession.
Like the nobles and important people in the 18th and 19th centuries, these adjectives are said with sarcasm, of course

Is every foal destined to be a vehicle?

Man has designated the essence of the horse as integral to his use for survival. So egocentric that somebody should be accountable for the horse that collapsed this morning!
