The way you run around the house with those feet of yours, blabbering about our lack of discipline. Be it hygiene or academics, when we fail to meet your bare minimum expectations, you start to panic. We love nothing more than seeing you freak out for these silly things. Just so you know, that’s when you look the cutest.

The way you strive to make our family seem normal commends the most appreciation. Our support is little to none in that regard, but you always manage to paint a decent family portrait in front of the judgemental society. I sometimes wonder what blasphemy our home would have been, if you were also chilled out, like me.

Generally, you are very easy to convince, but when it involves my out plans with friends, you channel your inner Sherlock to give me a tough time. You remember the names of all my friends, while I can’t even follow your simple shopping list. I confuse ‘Jwano’ with ‘Methi’ every damn time.

I swear to God, you are too cute, too good to be true. You bring in a newfound balance in our lives and make everything easier. I don’t know how we would have managed without you. Dad may have built our house, but you made it our home.
