Light note from an Earth Warrior | Manisha Thapa

Manisha Thapa

I wouldn’t desire to cause the Earth any trouble by hitting it with my hefty, deep penetrating words of affection at this juncture when it is taking it’s peaceful breaths of rest, away from the fast-paced time.

Meanwhile, I also understand that the zoonotic disease battle the Earth has decided for us; the human race, to deal and fight against, although tragic, was somehow vital because we encroached the nature left, right and center, had gone far, way beyond the boundaries that were set for the sapiens.

Today, I’m not presenting my well-researched facts and figures to arouse the climate change activism in fellow humans, not urging any person to understand the urgency and challenge for our future. Have done it enough. The climate is changing and changing, yet people are not.

But today, on a light note I’m here to confess everything I’ve realized as I stayed indoors like never before. Thank you, Earth for watering my thirst as my soul longed for it, for feeding my hollow tummy as it cried to be fed, for placing the limitless sky above my head that I can look up to as I feel a bit lost, for showering my windows with drops of rain hence making me feel alive.

Thank you for incarnating in the most beautiful sights & igniting brightness to my arid soul at the moment. On behalf of the entire human clan, I apologize for taking every inch of your presence everywhere around us for granted. And I assure you that I’ll give all that I have for not letting the ascent of ours be the descent of yours.

I might not have justified or well-illustrated the love I have for you but yes, along with the love I embody, I understand that I am indebted, I’ve my part to play and I commit to living my life as your warrior, as an Earth warrior.
