First Day of her ‘Days’ | Kashish Gupta

Kashish Gupta

“First Day” of her “Days”

It was the month of monsoon,

She just turned thirteen, was still a little girl who watches cartoon,

It was the first day of her “days”, she wasn’t comforted like normal days, panic of that loom,

scared of that bleeding vagina, baffled to share whom.

In spite of that painful cramps, she could neither smile nor gloom,

she was just locked up in a room,

 separated from all & treated as coon,

She was denied to contact the sun rays & afraid to see that moon;

All she was just caged in a gloon!

She was worried, cursed her fortune;

but no one said to her it’s a boon.

She thought it may be once in a blue moon,

But she didn’t know it’s monthly & this painful day will return soon…
