As Time Flies | Poetry | Yugeena Tuladhar

Yugeena Tuladhar
As time flies you learn
You learn the difference between
Holding a hand and changing a soul
You learn that love doesn’t mean leaning
Company doesn’t always mean you have someone by your side. You begin to learn
kisses aren’t contracts
Presents aren’t promises
With your head up high
You begin to accept your defeat. As time flies you learn
Even sunshine burns
if you get too much of it
You learn to plant your own garden
Instead of waiting for someone
To bring you flowers.
