House is just concrete, whereas home incorporates mutual love and caring. That is where parenting steps in. Parents should detest imposing their unfulfilled dreams upon the young shoulders. Providing formal education and offering how to perceive society should not invite premature developments.
The growing up of a child in the school called home should be natural where family is the first teacher. The growth should invite itself with proper age and it should be understood that every age has its own developments. The need for time should fulfill the desire to be sociable. Parenting gets transferred to future generations. If learned and done well it will transform an entire generation. Parenting is about showing the right kind of love at the right time. The right kind of love might mean some kind of strict routine for educational developments.
Parents should formulate their priorities. This is something we want to transfer to younger people. We should be able to judge if younger people can receive our proper guidance. Receiving should be more a part of freedom. It should not be mere imposing of ideas and rigorous routines all the time. Parents should listen to the interests of their children and the interests should be facilitated.
Younger people might have passions and guardians should be able to know how to make it career-oriented. The value of money should not be an everyday lesson; instead, we can teach some empathy, kindness, and outlook to life. Human-oriented goals can add to the brevity of understanding in younger people’s lives.
Premature ideas and over-ambitious priorities do not always lead to prosperity. Parents should have a good marriage since it transpires good values at home. Quality of life is a necessary thing that should bind a family. There should always be values passed from elderly generations. Offering respect is a value that has to be taught from home.
Being social is another permanent thing that will foster companionship and human values. The ideal way to behave with seniors and cousins of the same age, how not to get pampered with parents and how not be demanding all the time is something which proper parenting should be able to fix. The generational gap should be mitigated and proper communication is necessary between parents and children. How the children are finding their school and their friends can be part of communication in the family. Bedtime story reading for younger kids can be a goal for parents.
Storytelling is a creative way of parenting that forms a moral picture. I want to stick to the point that premature development should be treated with caution. For instance, being premature sexually by watching explicit materials is a gateway drug to many health problems both mentally and physically. Adolescent is the age of most of the children when they need proper guidance. They should know that everything has a proper time and being active beforehand does not cater to their long-term needs. School life should focus on education and learning. Parenting as a whole is a social effort because society has a lot to teach to younger minds.
